Triprogression
J. Scott Smith
A crazy man once said he wasn't
He was only for the time passing
And when the time was passed
He would be as though he hadn't been
An educated man said he was progressing
He wasn't now, but soon would be
In his age would come lasting triumph
And through his death would come his being
A simple man said he is only for today
Tomorrow he might be, yesterday he was
Each day he will continue, existing the same
Until he is finished, then he will not be
